Occasionally, between eating those peanut butter cookies with Hershey kisses in the middle (hey, it’s kinda the holidays) and watching VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of the 80s, I wonder which books folks are seeking out this holiday season. My bestseller list of choice is the IndieBound edition, which gives the books moving the most units at independent bookstores nationwide. So, let’s take a look at which titles are tops:

The latest “Wimpy Kid” edition, “Do-It-Yourself”, is bringing out the Jeff Kinney in youngsters everywhere while film-induced “Despereaux” fever is in full swing.

Scanimation powerhouse “Gallop!” has recently been joined by Seder’s latest, “Swing!” at the top of the charts in this list dotted with classics and Christmas-themed titles.

No surprise that the “Twilight” series hits number one here. “The 39 Clues” breaks into the top five with the recent release of book #2 in the series “One False Note” by Gordon Korman.
